Haha. Well, I live in a dorm for college, so watching stuff alone unless it's by "other methods" is tricksy...there's usually someone about.

Ahh. When I lived in halls at uni I luckily had my own room. Though for some reason people decided that my room would be the 'gathering' room. It got to the point where I'd pretty much fall asleep at night before people got the message and left my room. :-/

lol. I don't mind having people around...it's quite nice, really. Sometimes I gotta be like "shush" while I'm watching something, but mostly it's fine.

I found it all depended very much on whether the people were actually into the TV show or not. Though what I found most amusing was that some of them weren't interested in awesome shows and they wanted to watch soaps on my TV instead, lol. I was like "O.O GET SOME TASTE, PEOPLE. C'MON." Infact there is a time that sticks out in my mind quite clearly when one of my hallmates was watching one of the soaps in my room and told ME to be quiet. LOL. I was like "EH?!"

*shudders* Oh, soaps...those kinda frighten me to some extent. If someone shushed me while they were watching a soap, I'd probably get louder...*shifty eyes*

Well, yes. I was like "BUTBUT. It's a SOAP. It DOESN'T COUNT." I found it rather ridiculous. AND it was on MY TV anyway! I was like "WTF IS THIS?!"

24th-Sep-2008 02:39 pm (UTC)
Dude, yeah! If it were my TV I'd just be like "that trash will not be watched on my property, turn it off."
24th-Sep-2008 03:10 pm (UTC)
HELLS YEAH. Though then they'd probably give me puppy eyes. And I already feel sorry for them for being addicted to the soap in the first place. GUH, I shouldn't be such a soft touch, lol.

Aw, yeah...I'd probably sit them down and give them a huge list of reasons why soaps suck...then send them to find a new TV. *shifty eyes*

LMAO, you sound like you don't suffer fools gladly! I like it. The direct approach should be used with these poor souls at all times.
24th-Sep-2008 08:28 pm (UTC)
haha, well, see, I do a lot of acting, so when I see soaps it saddens me 'cause the acting usually sucks and I sit there thinking "I'm better than them, why can't I be on a tv show yet?" (of course, I ignore the obvious answer of "you have to audition first, dumby" and just hate the soap opera instead...lol)
24th-Sep-2008 10:10 pm (UTC)
You do acting? Awesome! I was rubbish when it came to doing drama at school. I was far too shy to just let go and have a good time with it. I kinda regret it now, lol. Still, props to you!

And that must really suck. I do spend a lot of time wondering how the hell some of those people in the soaps got a role on the show. I dunno, I don't want to sound so cynical, but if they're good looking enough, soaps especially seem to look over the fact that they can't act at all.
